Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Black Bears now own a 15-18 record. They take the field next when they host Spain Park for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Austin will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 28-9.

With the loss, Hazel Green falls to 20-16 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to James Clemens (Madison, AL) to battle the Jets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Jets enter the challenge with a record of 12-19. James Clemens lost 7-5 in their recent non-league challenge against New Hope (New Hope, AL)
