The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), saw Mountain Pointe's baseball team get by Desert Edge by a tally of 7-6.

The Pride (9-16) will now prepare for their battle against Alhambra (Phoenix, AZ). The Lions enter the non-league battle with a 17-7 record. In their last battle, Alhambra was tipped by ALA - Gilbert North (Gilbert, AZ), 8-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Scorpions face the Copper Canyon Aztecs (Glendale, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 25. Desert Edge will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Aztecs enter the battle with a 12-6 record after their 14-4 league win over Glendale (Glendale, AZ).
