April 22, 2025: Elkton, SD 57026 Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD), 23-13 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Elkton/Lake Benton upgrades its record to 1-4 on the year. The Elks travel to Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD) to play the Rutland in a Class B game on Thursday, April 24. The Rutland enter the game with a record of 2-3. Oldham-Ramona/Rutland lost 15-0 in their recent league game against Chester (Chester, SD)
The Bulldogs now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Colman-Egan for a non-league game on Thursday, April 24. DeSmet will play a C-E Hawks squad coming off a 22-1 league loss to Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD). The C-E Hawks record now stands at 0-4.
