April 22, 2025: Mount Airy, NC 27030 The West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) softball the host North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC), 3-1 in Tuesday's league outing.
The Blackhawks now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilkes Central for a Foothills 2A outing on Thursday, April 24. West Wilkes will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 23-0 league loss to North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-13.
With the loss, North Surry moves to 10-7 on the season. The Greyhounds host North Stokes (Danbury, NC) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league outing on Thursday, April 24. The Vikings come into the outing with a record of 5-11. North Stokes lost 15-0 in their recent league outing against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC)
