Coaches Game Summary

In arguably their best game of the year, the Bulldogs took down second-place Lakeside 10-9 in dramatic fashion. Sophomore Casey Hall provided the excitement with a walk-off single with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. With the bases loaded and 2 strikes on him, Hall blasted a pitch right back up the middle to score Brady Hansen from third. The Dawgs entered the bottom of the inning down 9-8 and were trailing 8-4 after the 5th.

Senior Nathan Disque (1-2) picked up the win in relief, allowing an unearned run in 1 inning of work. Brandon Thomas threw well on short rest, leaving with a 4-2 lead in the 5th. He struck out 4 and walked 4 in the no-decision. Offensively, the hit parade was on as every Bulldog except for one notched a base hit. Leading the way was Hall, who finished 3-for-5 with 2 RBIs. Disque was 2-for-2 with 3 walks and 3 runs scored. Thomas finished 2-for-5 with a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Sophomore Devin Thompson was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored.
