April 23, 2024: Wake Forest, NC 27587 Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting NCSSM: Durham Unicorns (Durham, NC), 7-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Franklin Academy improves its record to 2-8 on the year. The Patriots travel to East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a Super Six 1A/2A game on Friday, April 26. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 2-8. East Wake Academy lost 8-0 in their recent league game against Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC)
In their next game, the Unicorns clash with the Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) in a Super Six 1A/2A game, on Thursday, April 25. NCSSM: Durham will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Firebirds come into the game with a 9-7 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Granville Central (Stem, NC).
