April 23, 2025: Martins Ferry, OH 43935 The Barnesville Shamrocks baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Martins Ferry Purple Riders to 0 in the Shamrocks non-league win on Wednesday.
The Shamrocks now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Ridgewood for a non-league test on Thursday, April 24. Barnesville will play a Generals team coming off a 8-1 league loss to Hiland (Berlin, OH). The Generals record now stands at 4-6.
With the defeat, Martins Ferry drops to 5-5 on the year. The Purple riders host Cambridge (Cambridge, OH) to play the Bobcats in a Buckeye 8 test on Thursday, April 24. The Bobcats go into the test with a record of 6-8. Cambridge lost 9-8 in their recent league test against St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH)
