In Wednesday's non-league bout, the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host El Rancho Dons (Pico Rivera, CA), by a tally of 13-0.

Next up, the Vikings encounter the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits (Long Beach, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 25. Downey will attempt to upgrade on its 13-10 season record. The Jackrabbits enter the bout with a 11-11 record after their 6-3 league loss to Millikan (Long Beach, CA).
