North Carolina High School Baseball - West Johnston holds off East Wake
April 23, 2025: Benson, NC 27504 The West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) baseball the visiting East Wake Warriors (Wendell, NC), 5-1 in Wednesday's league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Smithfield-Selma for a Quad County 3A challenge on Thursday, April 24. West Johnston will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 7-0 league loss to South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 1-19.
With the defeat, East Wake drops to 6-14 on the year. The Warriors travel to Franklinton (Franklinton, NC) to clash with the Red Rams in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 24. The Red Rams go into the challenge with a record of 5-14. Franklinton lost 9-2 in their recent league challenge against Southern Nash (Bailey, NC)
