April 23, 2025: Newark, NJ 07107 In Wednesday's non-league test, the Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ), by a tally of 14-0.
Next, the Lions clash with the Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars (Montclair, NJ) in a non-league test, on Friday, April 25. Payne Tech will attempt to advance on its 7-3 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 4-5 record after their 9-4 league win over Belleville (Belleville, NJ).
The Red Raiders (0-7) will now prepare for their test against Millburn (Millburn, NJ). The Millers go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Millburn was routed by West Orange (West Orange, NJ), 12-2, in a non-league test.
