Battery Creek Dolphins (Beaufort, SC) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Cross Stingrays (Bluffton, SC), 7-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Battery Creek upgrades its record to 4-6 on the year. The Dolphins host Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC) to play the Bruins in a AAA Region 8 game on Friday, April 24. The Bruins enter the game with a record of 1-8.

The Stingrays now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to May River for a non-league game on Monday, April 27. Cross will play a Sharks squad coming off a 10-6 league win over Colleton County (Walterboro, SC). The Sharks record now stands at 9-4.
