Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Berkeley Springs Indians (Berkeley Springs, WV), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fairmont Senior for a Big Ten challenge on Thursday, April 29.

With the loss, Berkeley Springs falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 26. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Hedgesville won 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Hampshire (Romney, WV)
