Virginia High School Lacrosse - Battlefield overwhelms Gainesville
April 24, 2023: Haymarket, VA 20169 The Battlefield Bobcats lacrosse team scored 10 points and held the visiting Gainesville Cardinals to 3 in the Bobcats league win on Monday.
The Bobcats (5-1) will now prepare for their match against John Champe (Aldie, VA). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, John Champe was overwhelmed by Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA), 11-1, in a non-league outing.
With the defeat, Gainesville drops to 3-2 on the season. The Cardinals host Patriot (Nokesville, VA) to battle the Pioneers in a outing on Thursday, April 27. The Pioneers go into the outing with a record of 2-3. Patriot lost 8-1 in their recent non-league outing against Herndon (Herndon, VA)
