West Virginia High School Baseball - University edged by Bridgeport
April 24, 2024: Bridgeport, WV 26330 The Bridgeport Indians got by the visiting University Hawks baseball team by a count of 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Indians now possess a 20-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Fairmont for a Big Ten bout on Friday, April 26. Bridgeport will face a Bees team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Lewis County (Weston, WV). The Bees record now stands at 11-6.
Next, the Hawks face the Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 25. University will attempt to move on its 12-13 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 7-7 record after their 10-6 non-league win over Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV).
