Michigan High School Soccer - Utica nudges Grosse Pointe South
April 24, 2024: Utica, MI 48317 Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Chieftains confront the Salem Rocks (Canton, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 27. Utica will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Rocks enter the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 1-1 league Novi (Novi, MI).
The Blue Devils now have a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grosse Pointe North for a Macomb Area - Red challenge on Friday, April 26. Grosse Pointe South will confront a Norsemen team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI). The Norsemen record now stands at 2-4.
