Pennsylvania High School Softball - Abington Heights bounces Scranton
April 24, 2024: Clarks Summit, PA 18411 The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) and the visiting Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA), saw Abington Heights's softball squad achieve victory over Scranton by a count of 13-3.
The Comets now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valley View for a Lackawanna 1 match on Thursday, April 25. Abington Heights will face a Cougars squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over North Pocono (Covington Township, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-1.
With the loss, Scranton falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA) to face the Crusaders in a non-league match on Thursday, April 25. The Crusaders enter the match with a record of 7-3. Holy Cross won 21-5 in their recent league match against Lakeland (Jermyn, PA)
