New Jersey High School Softball - Bloomfield gets by Newark Academy
April 24, 2024: Bloomfield, NJ 07003 Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ) and the visiting Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ), witnessed Bloomfield's softball squad tip Newark Academy by a count of 3-2.
The Bengals now sport a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to North Bergen for a non-league match on Friday, April 26. Bloomfield will meet a Bruins squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ). The Bruins record now stands at 1-10.
With the loss, Newark Academy moves to 1-8 on the season. The Minutemen travel to Millburn (Millburn, NJ) to meet the Millers in a SEC - Liberty match on Friday, April 26. The Millers go into the match with a record of 2-6.
