The New Castle Hurricanes the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets softball squad by a count of 11-7 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Hurricanes (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Moon Area (Moon Township, PA). The Tigers go into the WPIAL 5A 3 battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Moon Area was routed by Mars (Mars, PA), 9-5, in a league battle.
