North Carolina High School Soccer - Phoenix Academy toppled by Cornerstone Charter
April 24, 2025: Greensboro, NC 27409 Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Phoenix Academy Firebirds (High Point, NC), 9-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Cornerstone Charter moves its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Piedmont Classical (Browns Summit, NC) to clash with the Bobcats in a Northwest Piedmont 1A test on Monday, April 28. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 3-4. Piedmont Classical won 7-0 in their recent league test against Triad Math and Science Academy (Greensboro, NC)
The Firebirds now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Shining Light Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 29. Phoenix Academy will clash with a Knights team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Asheboro Hybrid Academy (Asheboro, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-6.
