April 24, 2025: Tecumseh, KS 66542 Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Leavenworth PIONEERS (Leavenworth, KS), 5-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Shawnee Heights advances its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS) to clash with the Blues in a non-league test on Monday, April 28. The Blues come into the test with a record of 7-1. Washburn Rural won 3-1 in their recent league test against Topeka (Topeka, KS)
The PIONEERS now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host West for a United Kansas test on Tuesday, April 29. Leavenworth will clash with a Chargers team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Chargers record now stands at 3-5.
