The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC), saw Laney's baseball team gain a win over Heide Trask by a tally of 12-2.

The Buccaneers (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, New Hanover defeated Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 4-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Titans face the Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) in a battle, on Tuesday, April 29. Heide Trask will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 15-2 non-league loss to Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC).
