April 24, 2025: Buchanan, VA 24066 The James River Knights baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots to 5 in the Knights non-league win on Thursday.
The Knights now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Floyd County for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 29. James River will play a Buffaloes team coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Radford (Radford, VA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, Patrick Henry drops to 1-7 on the year. The Patriots host Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA) to play the Bruins in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 29. The Bruins go into the test with a record of 3-9. Blacksburg lost 9-8 in their recent non-league test against Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA)
