April 24, 2025: Newport News, VA 23608 The Woodside Wolverines soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Maury Commodores to 0 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Thursday.
The Wolverines now hold a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Menchville for a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, April 29. Woodside will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Bruton (Williamsburg, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Maury moves to 5-5 on the year. The Commodores host Tallwood (Virginia Beach, VA) to encounter the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 29. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Tallwood lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against First Colonial (Virginia Beach, VA)
