The Lackey Chargers softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Great Mills Hornets to 7 in the Chargers league win on Thursday.

The Chargers now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chopticon for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, April 25. Lackey will confront a Braves team coming off a 16-0 league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The Braves record now stands at 13-0.

With the loss, Great Mills moves to 4-9 on the season. The Hornets travel to Patuxent (Lusby, MD) to confront the Panthers in a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, April 25. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 2-9. Patuxent lost 13-1 in their recent league battle against Northern (Owings, MD)
