April 24, 2025: Pikeville, KY 41501 The Shelby Valley Wildcats triumphed over the visiting Pike County Central Hawks softball squad by a count of 11-6 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats meet the Harlan Green Dragons (Harlan, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 25. Shelby Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Green Dragons enter the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 5-4 league win over Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY).
The Hawks (12-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Tug Valley (Williamson, WV). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 13-7 record. In their last challenge, Tug Valley edged Sherman (Seth, WV), 4-1, in a non-league challenge.
