In Friday's league game, the host St. James Sharks baseball team scored a close 5-4 win over the Socastee Braves.

The Sharks (15-10) will now prepare for their game against Georgetown (Georgetown, SC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 8-13 record. In their last game, Georgetown was tipped by Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC), 14-2, in a league game.
