In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Cedar Valley Aviators softball team scored a tight 14-8 victory over the Springville Red Devils.

The Aviators (12-10) will now prepare for their match against Herriman (West Herriman, UT). The Mustangs go into the 6A Region 2 match with a 21-2 record. In their last match, Herriman tipped Westlake (Saratoga Springs, UT), 5-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Salem Hills Skyhawks (Salem, UT) in a 5A Region 7 match, on Tuesday, April 28. Springville will attempt to better on its 17-7 season record. The Skyhawks go into the match with a 22-1 record after their 8-6 non-league loss to Desert Hills (St. George, UT).
