Pennsylvania High School Softball - Moniteau knocked off by Laurel
April 25, 2023: New Castle, PA 16101 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Moniteau Warriors (West Sunbury, PA), by a margin of 12-2.
With the triumph, Laurel moves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Spartan host Freedom Area (Freedom, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a WPIAL 2A 4 contest on Wednesday, April 26. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 0-4. Freedom Area lost 12-1 in their recent league contest against Shenango (New Castle, PA)
In their next game, the Warriors play the Cranberry Area Berries (Seneca, PA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 27. Moniteau will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Berries come into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 11-9 league loss to Redbank Valley (New Bethlehem, PA).
