Virginia High School Soccer - William Monroe knocks off Madison County
April 25, 2024: Madison, VA 22727 William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Dragons confront the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, April 30. William Monroe will attempt to move on its 10-0 season record. The Gobblers enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA).
The Mountaineers now possess a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Woodstock for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. Madison County will confront a Falcons team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Page County (Shenandoah, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 5-2.
