April 25, 2024: Taylorsville, NC 28681 The Alexander Central Cougars softball team (Taylorsville, NC), was tipped 1-0 in Thursday's non-league test with the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC)
Coming up next, the Blackhawks clash with the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) in a Foothills 2A test, on Friday, April 26. West Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 15-0 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 2-13 record after their 16-0 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC).
The Cougars (16-4) will now prepare for their test against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots come into the Northwestern 3A/4A test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, Freedom was tipped by Watauga (Boone, NC), 10-9, in a league test.
