Minnesota High School Softball - Watertown-Mayer nudges New London-Spicer
April 25, 2024: Watertown, MN 55388 Watertown-Mayer Royals (Watertown, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting New London-Spicer Wildcats (New London, MN), 2-1 in a league challenge.
The Royals now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted for a Wright County challenge on Monday, April 29. Watertown-Mayer will battle a Lakers squad coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Osseo (Osseo, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 3-10.
With the loss, New London-Spicer falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Blooming Prairie (Blooming Prairie, MN) to battle the Awesome Blossoms in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. The Awesome Blossoms enter the challenge with a record of 7-1.
