Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cardinal Spellman The Pilots (Bronx, NY), 15-5 in a league match.

With the triumph, Iona Prep advances its record to 14-3 on the season. The Gaels travel to Xavier (New York, NY) to battle the Knights in a Catholic AA - Bronx/Manhattan match on Wednesday, April 30. The Knights come into the match with a record of 8-6. Xavier lost 10-3 in their recent non-league match against Salesian (New Rochelle, NY)

The The Pilots now have a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monsignor Scanlan for a Catholic AA - Bronx/Manhattan match on Tuesday, April 29. Cardinal Spellman will battle a Crusaders squad coming off a 10-4 league loss to Xavier (New York, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-13.
