In Friday's league bout, the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), by a score of 11-1.

Next up, the Maroon Devils encounter the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A bout, on Monday, April 28. Swain County will attempt to advance on its 10-6 season record. The Black Knights enter the bout with a 4-14 record after their 12-0 league loss to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC).
