The Middletown Middie Bears baseball squad (Middletown, NY), was edged 3-2 in Friday's league contest with the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY)

With the triumph, Newburgh Free Academy moves its record to 9-3 on the season. The Goldbacks travel to Goshen Central (Goshen, NY) to confront the Gladiators in a non-league contest on Friday, May 2. The Gladiators come into the contest with a record of 4-3.

The Middie Bears now possess a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Bush for a Section 9 Orange County I contest on Monday, April 28. Middletown will confront a Bushmen squad coming off a 8-7 league win over Kingston (Kingston, NY). The Bushmen record now stands at 8-1.
