April 25, 2025: Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) backers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the host Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ), 12-11 in a league game.
With the victory, Verona improves its record to 8-1 on the season. The Hillbillies host Vernon (Vernon, NJ) to play the Vikings in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 29. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 3-6. Vernon lost 10-6 in their recent non-league game against Roxbury (Succasunna, NJ)
The Raiders now have a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount St. Dominic Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 29. Scotch Plains-Fanwood will play a Lions team coming off a 17-7 non-league loss to DePaul Catholic (Wayne, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 0-7.
