California High School Softball - University Prep can't get by Foothill

Foothill Cougars (Palo Cedro, CA) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA), 7-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Foothill upgrades its record to 15-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Fernley (Fernley, NV) to play the Vaqueros in a non-league game on Saturday, April 26. The Vaqueros enter the game with a record of 17-6. Fernley won 16-11 in their recent non-league game against North Valleys (Reno, NV)

The Panthers now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Chico for a non-league game on Saturday, April 26. University Prep will play a Panthers squad coming off a 15-9 league loss to Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 7-9.
