In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels softball team scored a tight 7-5 win over the Marion Patriots.

The Rebels (21-15) will now prepare for their match against Dyer County (Newbern, TN). The Choctaws come into the non-league match with a 23-7 record. In their last match, Dyer County nipped South Gibson (Medina, TN), 2-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Patriots confront the Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR) in a 5A East match, on Tuesday, April 29. Marion will attempt to better on its 16-8 season record.
