The Roncalli Royals triumphed over the host South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies softball squad by a count of 14-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Royals meet the Westfield Shamrocks (Westfield, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 26. Roncalli will attempt to upgrade on its 9-0 season record. The Shamrocks enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 10-1 non-league win over Harrison (West Lafayette, IN).

The Huskies (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Elkhart (Elkhart, IN). The Lions enter the Northern Indiana challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Elkhart overcame Tippecanoe Valley (Akron, IN), 15-4, in a non-league challenge.
