Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) and the host Perry Commodores (Lima, OH), saw Elgin's baseball squad knock off Perry by a count of 12-2.

Coming up next, the Comets play the River Valley Vikings (Caledonia, OH) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 27. Elgin will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 3-13 record after their 3-2 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, OH).

The Commodores now possess a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Temple Christian for a Northwest Central battle on Monday, May 1.
