Virginia High School Soccer - New Kent knocks off Hopewell
April 26, 2023: New Kent, VA 23124 New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Trojans confront the Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) in a Bay Rivers challenge, on Thursday, April 27. New Kent will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record. The Clippers enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Kellam (Virginia Beach, VA).
The Blue Devils now possess a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Colonial Heights for a Central challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Hopewell will confront a Colonials team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA). The Colonials record now stands at 2-9.
