Berkeley Springs Indians (Berkeley Springs, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McConnellsburg Spartans (McConnellsburg, PA), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now sport a 14-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grafton for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 27. Berkeley Springs will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 15-6 non-league loss to Lewis County (Weston, WV). The Bearcats record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, McConnellsburg falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Southern Huntingdon County (Three Springs, PA) to face the Rockets in a Sideling Hill challenge on Friday, April 28. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Southern Huntingdon County lost 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Northern Bedford County (Loysburg, PA)
