Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lynbrook Vikings (San Jose, CA), 20-3 in a league challenge.

The Matadors now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palo Alto for a El Camino challenge on Monday, May 1. Monta Vista will face a Vikings squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-11.
