New Jersey High School Softball - Barnegat bounces Ocean Township
April 26, 2024: Barnegat, NJ 08005 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Barnegat Bengals (Barnegat, NJ) and the visiting Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ), witnessed Barnegat's softball squad prevail over Ocean Township by a count of 14-1.
The Bengals now sport a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Red Bank Regional for a non-league match on Saturday, April 27. Barnegat will face a Bucs squad coming off a 14-7 non-league loss to Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ). The Bucs record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Ocean Township moves to 2-9 on the season. The Spartans host Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ) to face the Warriors in a Shore - B North match on Monday, April 29. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 7-6. Manasquan lost 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Middletown North (Middletown, NJ)
