Maine High School Softball - Lincoln Academy holds off Cony
April 26, 2024: Newcastle, ME 04553 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) and the visiting Cony Rams (Augusta, ME), witnessed Lincoln Academy's softball squad tip Cony by a count of 18-16.
The Eagles now sport a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Camden Hills for a non-league match on Monday, April 29. Lincoln Academy will face a Windjammers squad coming off a 4-0 league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Windjammers record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Cony moves to 2-3 on the season. The Rams host Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Monday, April 29. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 3-0. Monmouth Academy won 14-3 in their recent non-league match against Telstar (Bethel, ME)
