Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Hays Indians (Hays, KS), 14-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 7-13 record. They take the field next when they host South for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Salina Central will face a Cougars squad coming off a 11-10 non-league win over Maize South (Wichita, KS). The Cougars record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Hays falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Indians host Liberal (Liberal, KS) to face the Redskins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Redskins enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Liberal 0-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Cimarron (Cimarron, KS)
