New York High School Softball - Northeastern Clinton topped by Missisquoi Valley
April 26, 2024: Champlain, NY 12919 In Friday's non-league contest, the Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT) softball team overwhelmed the host Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY), by a margin of 14-1.
With the triumph, Missisquoi Valley moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT) to play the Eagles in a Metro contest on Saturday, April 27. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 2-0. Mt. Abraham won 13-4 in their recent league contest against North Country Union (Newport, VT)
In their next game, the Cougars play the Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest, on Saturday, April 27. Northeastern Clinton will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Nighthawks come into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 19-1 league win over Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY).
