April 26, 2025: Streator, IL 61364 In Saturday's non-league bout, the Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Woodland Warriors (Streator, IL), by a score of 10-0.
Next up, the Hornets encounter the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers (Greenfield, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley - South bout, on Monday, April 28. Brown County will attempt to advance on its 17-5 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 9-9 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL).
The Warriors (2-12) will now prepare for their bout against Midland (Varna, IL). The Timberwolves enter the Tri-County bout with a 9-8 record. In their last bout, Midland was overwhelmed by El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 4-0, in a non-league bout.
