The Lincoln-Way East Griffins baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Lincoln-Way Central Knights to 1 in the Griffins league win on Saturday.

The Griffins now hold a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Homewood-Flossmoor for a Southwest Suburban test on Monday, April 28. Lincoln-Way East will play a Vikings team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Chicago Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 9-11.

With the defeat, Lincoln-Way Central drops to 9-6 on the year. The Knights host Lockport (Lockport, IL) to play the Porters in a Southwest Suburban test on Monday, April 28.
