New Mexico High School Softball - Shiprock bounces Bernalillo
April 26, 2025: Bernalillo, NM 87004 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM) and the host Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM), witnessed Shiprock's softball team edge Bernalillo by a margin of 22-17.
The Chieftains now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kirtland Central for a non-league outing on Thursday, May 1. Shiprock will encounter a Broncos team coming off a 15-7 non-league loss to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Broncos record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, Bernalillo moves to 2-9 on the season. The Spartans host Valley (Albuquerque, NM) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league outing on Friday, May 2. The Vikings come into the outing with a record of 5-8. Valley lost 22-12 in their recent non-league outing against Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM)
