The Decatur Central Hawks overwhelmed the visiting Lawrence Central Bears softball squad by a count of 14-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Hawks meet the Plainfield Quakers (Plainfield, IN) in a Mid-State challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Decatur Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Quakers go into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 10-0 non-league win over McCutcheon (Lafayette, IN).

The Bears (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Beech Grove (Beech Grove, IN). The Hornets go into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record.
